Miscommunications, misunderstandings, and interpersonal conflict thrive in the typical environment of the distributed team. Distributed agile teams, and especially global agile teams, are more likely to face these issues because of time-zone offsets and differences in organizational culture. Global agile teams are not only more geographically dispersed than domestic distributed teams, but they’re separated by language, culture and a large number of time zones. In this session, we’ll inventory the challenges faced by distributed and global agile teams. We’ll provide ways of anticipating and addressing the challenges that occur.
This is a lecture with examples.
