Dave attended XP/Agile Universe 2002 and has been learning about various aspects of agile software development ever since. Dave co-presented a roll-your-own-Ruby-on-Rails agile planning tool demonstration at Agile 2007 and was on the Discovery Session committee as well.
Dave’s participation and observations in pair programming and test-driven development led him to blog about “Ping Pong Programming” in January 2005, and was eventually asked by StickyMinds.com to write more about it: http://tinyurl.com/2ubatl.
Dave is lead author of “Apprenticeship Patterns: Guidance for the Aspiring Software Craftsman”, a book-in-progress at O’Reilly: http://softwarecraftsmanship.oreilly.com.
Dave is the Practice Leader for the Craftsmanship Studio at Obtiva in Chicago. Dave lives with his wife and three children in Wheaton, IL.
