With over 12 years experience bridging the gap between code and end-users, his current focus is “the hard problems” of psycho-social aspects of collaborative product development. He is actively involved in the Agile community, helping facilitate local Agile user groups, and has led discussions on the testing of software products.
A former Smalltalker, Derek’s interests in Agile, Scrum, and web technologies come from his desires to get people to have more fun working together and to create beautiful and useful products. This leaves far less time for hacking code or odd Linux distros than he’d like.
