My main focus area’s are Scrum (how to set it up in new often not-agile environments with req mgt & maintenance & architecture & testing competence centers, how to run effective large scale projects, how to provide transparancy and control to your client), Agile teams (using XP for high quality and performance, coaching Scrum Masters, making the team swing and buzz) and Offshoring (how to run large scale Scrum with multiple teams for longer periods over multiple shores and achieve the same hyperproductivity and collaboration).
After joining Xebia’s Software Development division at the start I have been heavily involved in shaping testing and improving our Agile methodologies from a project management perspective. I have been responsible for working out our offshoring model and setting up an running most of the larger projects, which are all Agile.
Experience includes managing complex programs (5+ teams / projects in multiple countries) and large software projects (>2M) to completion. Having done projects both as interim manager and change manager on the client side and as delivery manager on the supplier side I am intimately familiar with all facets of IT projects.
My passion is solving complicated problems and situations by acting on Agile principles that focus on people and interactions instead of documents and processes. Fully distributed scrum in an offshoring scenario is one of these situations.
