I was born 1968 in Basel, Switzerland, lived in San Diego, Basel, Bern, and Lausanne. I’m married to Esther, we live in a beautiful old house just outside Lausanne.
I hold a math engineer degree from EPFL (Swiss Federal Institute of Technology, Lausanne, 1992) and have been working in Software Development for the past 15 years. I’m a Certified Scrum Practitioner / Scrum Master and thoroughly enjoy helping teams boost their productivity through more agile ways of working together. I’m currently training (with Boris Gloger) to become a CST in 2008.
Started by wanting to become a “knowledge engineer” (expert systems etc.), I am now much more interested in the human side of collaborative working and knowledge sharing, technology being used as an enabler. I now work for SPRiNT iT (Switzerland) - consulting, training & coaching all around Europe (and its known surroundings ;)
Cynefin’s (now at www.cognitive-edge.com) narrative-based approach catches much of this, IMHO.
My favourite quote could be this: “Wisdom is ofttimes nearer when we stoop than when we soar.” (William Wordsworth)
